As many of you know, we spent last weekend in Upstate New York - Storm King Art Center, New Paltz, Minnewaska Park, Howe Caverns. It was very nice and relaxing, at the same time we saw a lot.
After we came back, I shared with my friends our itinerary. Some of you asked me about other POI (Point Of Interest) I would recommend, and some of you told me about other places, we have not known or visited.
Very often after going to some interesting places, we all like to share with each other the information, however sometimes it is not easy to find the time when we can talk and write down the information.
So, my idea is to share all information through the e-mails - each of us can do write and read on our own free time. This could include the place, how to get there, what to see, when is it better to go and any other helpful information, this could be as little or as much as possible, it could be done in English or in Russian; it could one day trip to a close vicinity or two -weeks trip overseas. Eventually, it will create the travel archive for all of us to choose from, and sometimes we might even go together.
I realize this is reminiscent of the forum on www.tripadvisor.com. However, you have to know the place you want to visit in order to read the forum's letters, but what if you have no idea about the place's existence? And most important, it will be information from your friends or acquaintances - from people you know.
Later my younger daughter sent me the link to her Blog. That was it - I instantly knew what direction I wanted to go! So, this Blog has been created. Now it is up to all of us to keep it alive running.
